골프 팁: 55세 이후에도 원 암 드릴로 비거리 늘리기

one arm drill

Feeling stiff over the ball lately? You’re not alone—and you’re not out of options. As we age, we naturally lose some of our flexibility, which leads to shorter swings and less power. But with the right movement patterns, you can get some of that distance back.

In this week’s Golf tip, Darren deMaille shares the One Arm Drill—a simple but effective routine that helps increase your shoulder turn and create better rotation through the swing.

How the One Arm Drill works:

  • Put on a jacket or pullover and zip it up

  • Place your lead arm (left arm for righties) across your chest

  • Grab the jacket sleeve with your trail hand

  • Gently pull yourself into a turn, focusing on shoulder movement—not arm movement

Once your body starts to remember this deeper turn, grab a club and take a few practice swings. You’ll feel the increased mobility and speed in no time.

Here’s Darren doing the drill:

Do it as a warm-up or daily stretch, and you’ll be hitting the ball farther—without trying harder.
