Royal Woodbine Golf Club is Toronto’s premier urban golf experience—an 18-hole championship course located just minutes from Pearson International Airport. Despite its proximity to the city, the property feels secluded thanks to the Humber River that winds through nearly every hole.
The course, designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan, plays to par 71 and stretches over 6,400 yards. Tight landing zones, forced carries over water, and sharply contoured greens make it one of the most strategic—and demanding—public courses in Ontario. Every tee shot requires planning, and most greens are protected by both water and deep bunkers.
Royal Woodbine’s conditioning is immaculate: greens roll true and fast, fairways are lush, and roughs are kept just penal enough to reward accuracy. The par-3 11th, playing over a pond to a narrow green, is one of Toronto’s most photographed golf holes.
The clubhouse is elegant and modern, featuring a full-service restaurant and event venue with views of both the first and eighteenth holes. Practice facilities include a short-game area and putting green.
