The holes at West Chase, in Brownsburg, have names. The first is Old Tom Morris, a gentle dogleg left, and a long hitter can take on the left side bunkers and try to drive the green.
The club describes the last four holes of the front nine as pure links, just without the ocean. The back nine opens with a par 5 where White Lick Creek waits short and right of the green. Then the elevation starts at the hole named White Lick, a downhill tee shot where a ball that drifts right can find the creek.
The range is long, with bentgrass target greens. There's an active men's club, plus ladies' and couples' leagues and morning play for retirees.
