Pike Run opens with a links-style front nine. The fairways are wide enough to hit driver, but tall fescue and new bunkers are waiting.
The back nine was built in 1960, and it wants precision more than power. The corridors narrow, old hardwoods frame the holes, and Pike Run Creek runs through five of them. The club has its own version of "Amen Corner": the dogleg par 4 13th, the par 3 14th, and a sloped green on the next.
There are indoor simulators for the off season.
