Reid Park's North Course has been the stage for Ohio Opens, USGA qualifiers and NCAA Division III national championships. It's the championship side of the property, with dramatic elevation changes and holes that wind through dense woods.
The South Course is gentler. Its fairways are generous and the ground rolls softly, so it's an easy walk. Both opened in 1967 on farmland the Reid family once owned. Ponds and woods shape the holes. The range hits off grass and has a practice bunker.
Breakfast and lunch are in the restaurant, and Reid Golf runs the place on a lease from the City of Springfield.
