Cross any of the 5 bridges at EagleSticks and you're on a piece of the old farm. They were built from a 100-foot corn crib that stood on the McClelland homestead, the 150 acres of farmland and woods near Zanesville where Dr. Michael Hurdzan laid out the course. It opened in 1990.
The ground changes more than 100 feet across the property. No. 9 is the hardest hole on the course, a par 4 from an elevated tee to a fairway that climbs the whole way to a deep, narrow green. Take at least one extra club, maybe two.
Mac's Sports Grill has a patio over the 18th green, and there's a Thursday Night 2-Person League.
