Stand at the clubhouse at Wicomico Shores and you're looking over the course, the woods, the wildlife and the Wicomico River beyond. St. Mary's County Government owns and runs it.
The greens are big, the fairways are level, and the hole designs vary. It's a par 72 whichever tees you play.
The clubhouse was fully renovated in 2008, and the Riverview Restaurant's dining room looks out on the river and the 18th hole. Down by the water there's a public boat ramp and a 150 ft. Fishing pier.
