An oak stands where four holes meet at Glenhurst, and its plaque dates it to the American Revolution.
The course grew out of Thomas Paulger's farm on Six Mile Road and opened on May 28, 1932. It's been redesigned three times since. In 1989 Redford Township bought it, with help from DNR trust fund money, and pledged to keep it a golf course. The Redford Senior Golf League plays here.
The 13th is only 125 yards, but the tee shot has to carry a valley and a creek to a raised green ringed by trees.
The Glenhurst Grill & Bar runs out of the little white farmhouse, doing breakfast and half pound burgers.
