His pure-bred Santa Gertrudis Cattle farm, located here in Locust Grove, Virginia was the ideal site for a golf course with its beautiful rolling countryside. The course is situated approximately 70 miles from Washington DC and Richmond, 50 miles from Charlottesville, and 20 miles from Fredericksburg and Culpeper.
