Golf Tip: Improve Your Ball Striking with Tommy Fleetwood’s 4-in-1 Drill

4 in 1 drill

Tommy Fleetwood has been heating up this season, and while he still hasn’t notched a PGA TOUR win, his ball striking is turning heads. This week, Darren deMaille from Quick Fix Golf breaks down one of the drills Fleetwood relies on to stay sharp—and it’s a powerful 4-in-1 station that can improve nearly every part of your swing.

How to Set It Up:

  • Alignment stick on the ground: Helps guide your target line.

  • Alignment stick angled in the ground: Matches your club’s natural plane.

  • Obstacle (foam brick or water bottle): Sits just outside the ball.

What It Fixes:

  1. Backswing that’s too far inside

  2. Backswing that’s too far outside

  3. Downswing that comes over the top

  4. Downswing that comes too far under

When you train with this setup, you’ll start grooving an on-plane swing—both back and through. And that means one thing: better contact, more consistency, and improved scores.
