TeeTime Golf Pass Tip of the Week: Improve Your Ball Striking with the “Slot Machine” Drill

The Slot Machine Drill

Golfers, we’ve got a treat for you this week! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just picking up the clubs a few times a year, this drill is a game-changer for improving your ball striking. Ready to step up to the “slot machine” and dial in your swing? Let’s dive in! 🎰

The Slot Machine Drill

This week’s tip comes straight from Darren deMaille of QuickFixGolf.com. Darren shares a lesson inspired by one of his mentors, the legendary Martin Hall. The goal? To help you define the space your golf club needs to swing back and through for more consistent ball striking.

Here’s how to set it up:

  1. Grab two yoga bricks (easy to find on Amazon or at your local store).
  2. Place one brick slightly outside and the other slightly inside your swing path.
  3. Use your golf club to measure the space between the bricks to ensure there’s just enough room for a smooth swing.

Now you’ve created the perfect “slot” to guide your club back and through. This drill not only improves your swing mechanics but also helps you make clean, centered contact with the ball.

Pro Tip: Practice with purpose and watch your ball striking soar!
