Wekiva has no parallel fairways. The course was laid out in a wooded setting, so many of the doglegs are framed by large stands of trees. It's a semi-private club, and outside play is welcome.
Every hole is well bunkered, with more than 80 bunkers in all, and there's water on three holes. Gentle mounding sets off the fairways and the greens. The greens were rebuilt with Champions Bermuda and opened again in 2012.
Wekiva opened in 1972 inside a residential community in the Wekiva River area. The Little Linksters Golf Academy runs its junior programs here.
