On the short 14th at Harrison Hills, anyone long enough to go for the green has to steer clear of Highway 41. Then comes No. 15, which climbs uphill and bends right to a green split front and back by a huge hill, with two very deep bunkers guarding it. It's the hole the course is known for.
The course opened in Attica in 1924 as a nine-hole layout designed by William Langford and Theodore Moreau, and the Tudor-style clubhouse goes back just as far. Tim Liddy's work came in 1995. The clubhouse snack bar does brats and deli sandwiches, and there's a house on site you can rent. Tees, fairways and greens are all bentgrass, spread over 200 acres of rolling hills.
