Greensburg Country Club opened for play in 1926 with six holes and sand greens. It grew into 18 holes of bent grass, tees to greens, and it's open for public play, halfway between Indianapolis and Cincinnati.
Local school teams play here, from junior high up, and so do the boys' and girls' high school sectionals and a Junior Tour event sponsored by the PGA and IGA. With Greensburg High School, the club also hosts The Greensburg Invitational, a tournament for high school girls.
Weeknight leagues run for ladies, couples and men. Head golf professional Kurt Balser specializes in getting juniors and ladies started in golf.
