The greens at Highland Lake are big, and they're kept fast. John Budzale designed the course, and it opened in Richmond in 1972. It reaches 6,981 yards from the longest tees.
Wes Widdows runs the golf shop and gives lessons. He's been a PGA member for 25 years and head pro at Connersville Country Club and Tartan East Golf Club.

There's a range and three practice greens, plus a snack bar. On Thursday nights a two-person league plays, and each player is matched against a player from the other team.
