Ruggles is an Army MWR course at Aberdeen Proving Ground, and it sits outside the gate along MD Route 715. William Gordon laid out the original 9 holes in the 1950s, Ed Ault took it to 18 holes and Dan Schlegel has renovated it since.
The new tee complexes stretch it to 7,230 yards from the blacks.
You can hit off natural or artificial tees on the range, and there's a bunker and a practice green to work on the short game. Grill on the Green does breakfast and lunch.
