Raymond Floyd captained the 1989 Ryder Cup team, and that's where The Captain's Club gets its name. He didn't just lend it, either. Floyd and his team designed the course, and he was hands-on with the layout, which was finished in 1993.
It's a public course inside the Woodfield Community in Grand Blanc, with protected wetlands all around it.
STIX, the clubhouse restaurant, is open all year, with a veranda above the range. Need a regular game? Leagues play Monday through Thursday, and they take free agents.
