David Savic laid it out in Okemos with the Golden Age in mind, naming MacKenzie's Alwoodley and Crystal Downs and Ross's Holston Hills as influences. The first 11 holes opened in the fall of 2005, and all 18 holes followed in 2006.
The ground rolls gently, so you can still walk it, and the farmland around it might turn up a wild turkey or a coyote. Expect big, rolling greens and bunkers. For practice you get a range, a short game area and a putting green. It's hosted USGA and Golf Association of Michigan events.
