Huron Shores calls its 13th the Card-Wrecker. It's a hole for precise shots, and it's hard on a golfer who gets overconfident.
The course opened in 1925, a short drive north of Port Sanilac, and its hardwoods have had a century to grow up along the fairways. Those fairways are wide and forgiving. The breeze off Lake Huron is what you have to respect. The club says it can swing your club choice by two clubs within a single hole, and the old trees favor the player who goes for position over pure distance.
It's fully public, leagues included, and the restaurant's patio looks over the course toward Lake Huron.
