Brookside plays around a winding creek, ponds and trees, and you can walk it or ride. It's in Saline, with Ann Arbor 2 miles to the north. Coming from Metro Detroit, it's just off I-94.
It opened in 1965 and grew to 18 holes in 1984. The range hits off grass tees, and there's a bar for after.
Lessons run through the Brookside Golf Academy. And if you want a regular game, the club says its leagues are always on the hunt for subs.
