Wesburn's records go back to 1910, when it first opened. In 1926 the property was bought by Wesson Seyburn, Winifred Dodge's husband, who created a 9-hole layout inside a planned housing community. The Great Depression ended the housing plan, and as the boys came home from World War II the course grew to 18 holes.
It's a par 72 along the Huron River, with old trees all around and plenty of wildlife. The club calls it forgiving, and there are several sets of tees to pick from.
Walter Walters bought it in 1959, and in 1998 his daughter Shelley took over ownership. There are morning groups and after-work leagues.
