At Cypress Landing, the 15th is a par 3 with a view of Chocowinity Bay. The rest of the course winds through the Cypress Landing community, among homes and tall pines, and the public is welcome to play it.
The range has 20 grass tees and two practice bunkers. Over at the grill, the patio overlooks the putting green and pond, and the menu runs to burgers, dogs and sandwiches.
Weyerhaeuser developed the community and the course together in 1996. Bill Love, working with Ault, Clark & Associates, designed it. In 2002 the community's homeowners association bought the course and leased it to a nonprofit, which took over running it.
