You won't rake a single bunker at Hillcrest, because there aren't any. Trees do the defending on this par 72 in Findlay, which Ed Rettig and Gene Cleary designed and which opened in 1963.
From the longest tees it runs 6,987 yards, with ten par 4s, four par 3s and four par 5s. The tees go blue, white, black and red, from farthest back to closest, and the layout suits walkers and cart riders alike.
Hillcrest is run by Clouse House Golf, a Northwest Ohio outfit that Andy and Renae Clouse started and that has been operating since 2012.
