Early settler Eden Hamilton named this land Bunker Hill Farm. Walter Kennedy, a Hamilton relative, fought at Bunker Hill in 1775. Berneta and Roger Ingraham bought the course in 1939, and their son Arnold later dug a 7 acre lake and built Nos. 3 and 4 around it.
No. 7 is a par 5 of 506 yards to a peninsula green. Every fairway is framed by an intermediate cut, and the creek that once crossed No. 9 and No. 18 was moved so a long, straight drive isn't punished.
Leagues run morning, afternoon and evening, including seniors, mixed and ladies. The Greg Jones Golf Academy teaches lessons and runs junior leagues for grades 6 through 12, and the Pavilion holds 150 with its own parking lot.
