Horses raced at Heather Downs before golfers did. Established in Toledo in 1924, the ground served first as a horse racing track, then a private country club, and today the public is welcome on its 18 holes.
The card makes it a par 71 of 6,250 yards from the Blue tees. No. 4 is the course's hardest hole, a par 4 of 376 yards from the Blues with a creek crossing in front of a severely sloping green. No. 16 is a 131-yard par 3 with water short, left and long.
The range hits off grass, and the short game area has its own practice bunker. Call Bogey's Bar & Grill from the 18th tee and your food is waiting at the clubhouse.
