A clear stream winds through what used to be the McKay family farm. Designer Barry Serafin turned it into a links-style course, with the front nine opening in the spring of 1999 and all 18 holes ready by the end of that summer.
This is meadow golf. The fairways roll, the rough is heavy, and woods close in along the edges. Ponds come into play, there are 58 sand bunkers to steer around, and a few big changes in elevation keep it from ever feeling flat.
PGA staff give lessons on the grass tee range, and there's a beer garden for a drink after you putt out. Staying over? The Stay & Play sits above hole 4, sleeps up to eight, and includes golf carts for the length of your stay.
