Doug Carrick designed Sawmill Creek in Camlachie, established in 1999, and Rene Muylaert later upgraded it. Fescue lines the fairways, which gives the course a modern links look, and LPGA star Brooke Henderson teed it up here in 2010, at the Canadian Junior Women's Championships.
The black tees stretch it to 6,281 yards, and the forward tees play 5,053 yards. The course's own advice is simple: stay out of trouble, play to the flatter parts of the greens and go easy on bold putts.
The clubhouse is built in a Victorian style and has six rooms for Stay 'n Play packages, plus a pub and a patio that serves pub-style dishes. The main dining room holds up to 200 guests for weddings and tournaments.
