The two nines at Silver Brooke play like different courses. The front is cut through maple, birch and pine woods, while the back opens up and brings several water hazards into play. The club opened in 2005 in Lisle, and the public is welcome on all 18 holes, which measure 6,600 yards with bent grass on the tees, fairways and greens and white sand in the bunkers.
A 7-acre practice academy covers the short game with a putting green, a chipping area and a bunker, and two golf simulators let you keep swinging all year.
Inside the licensed clubhouse, the Sterling Dining Room looks out over the practice area and the ninth green, while the patio faces the 18th green. The club also hosts private and charity tournaments for up to 144 golfers.
