Five minutes from Georgian Bay in Tiny Township, Barbosa Balm Beach Golf Club runs a nine hole championship course, a short drive from Midland and Penetanguishene.
Very mature trees frame open fairways, and the greens roll and tilt enough to test any player. The club calls the 6th tee its Amen Corner: from there, towering pines line the fairways and surround the greens, and the club says it feels like Myrtle Beach.
Off the course there's an 18 hole family mini putt, a driving range, and a practice green for putting and chipping. Power carts and rental clubs are on hand, the academy's experienced professionals run lessons and clinics, and the semi-private club is open to the public.
