The range at Devil's Den has tee decks at both ends, so golfers on the north and south decks hit toward each other. The grass decks are bent grass, the kind you'd find on greens and fairways, and there's a mat deck as well. The decks are raised and run a long way, which keeps a busy weekend from turning into a wait.
Out on the 450-yard field are six target greens, each guarded by bunkers, so you can work through the bag from driver down to wedge. When you're done there, a chipping green with rough and a bunker sits nearby, plus a separate putting green.
The pro shop and restaurant are in a restored farmhouse built in the 1940s, and its covered patio faces the range. The Academy at Devil's Den runs private and group lessons, ladies clinics and junior summer camps.
