Civil War armies marched and camped near this ground, and golf has been played on it since 1999. Lindsay Ervin did the routing and Steve Klein the design, sending you up and down rolling hills with a lake or creek in play on almost every hole. The LPGA Legends Championship comes here in 2027.
The 12th is the signature hole, a 187-yard par 3 hit from a raised tee to a big green set in front of a red rock cliff, with a trap under the cliff and a creek short. The 16th is a 600-yard par 5 squeezed between lakes, and the 9th finishes at a red rock wall with the clubhouse up top.
There's a driving range and rental sets, plus private and group lessons, clinics and a junior academy. The clubhouse takes outings of up to 200 people. Leave the fivesome at home.
