Neshaminy Creek runs alongside the 14th, a par 5, and it's the creek that gave Neshaminy Valley its name.
Charles Schneider Sr. came across the land on Almshouse Road in 1969. It was a milk farm then, and the course opened two years later, in 1971. Schneider was a PGA Tour player who went up against Gene Sarazen and Ben Hogan, and you can read about his career in the pro shop and the Charles Schneider Club Room, with photos and memorabilia on display. Three of his sons became PGA professionals, and a third generation now runs the day to day.
The area around it has filled in with homes over the years. The course hasn't. It's surrounded by woods, and the only house on the property is the greenskeeper's.
