Fairview Golf Course Details
In July 2004 an F-3 tornado tore across Fairview and damaged more than 375 trees. Hundreds of people pitched in, and the course was open again seven days later. In 2005, with help from the Jim Blaukovitch design team, the course got new trees, new bunkers and rebuilt tees, and No. 10 picked up a tough water hazard.
The course goes back to the late 1950s. It sits below the south Gretna mountains, out in the Lebanon Valley, and the Jones family's Distinct Golf group bought it in the fall of 1966.
In winter you can still play Pebble Beach: the indoor center beside the range has a simulator with more than 50 courses. Knickers, the bar, has eight beers on draft.
