The Conestoga River runs along the edge of Crossgates, a public course in Millersville on rolling Lancaster County ground, minutes from downtown Lancaster. From the Blue tees the card shows 6,075 yards at par 72, rated 70.1 with a slope of 123. Save something for the finish. Both handicap rows give the 1 to No. 18, a 561-yard par 5 from the Blues, and the local rules put water in play there. There's a driving range and a pro shop, and the restaurant and bar, The Bunker at Crossgates, is run as a separate business. On the league side, ladies play 18 holes on Wednesdays, men 60 and over go off Thursday mornings, and on Tuesday evenings two person teams play 9 holes, switching between better ball and scramble from week to week.
