Not a single fairway at Blue Ridge Trail runs parallel to another. The 27 holes were cut through the woods and hollows of Northeastern Pennsylvania, and the club calls it a public course that feels private.
The three nines are Blue, Ridge and Trail. Ault, Clark and Associates designed them, the same firm behind the TPC at Avenel. Beginners and low handicappers each get their own tees, five sets in all.
The range is real grass, and the carts are electric with touchscreen GPS. Afterward, the Grill Room's open to the public for a sit-down meal or takeout.
