William L. Jones Sr. ran a Guernsey dairy farm on this land in Pine Grove. In 1958 it opened as Hidden Valley, the first course in what became the Distinct Golf group, and the same family still owns and runs it.
It's still Schuylkill County farmland, with old trees, a stream running through and four acres of water. The greens are big, and there are plenty of bunkers.
The range has grass and mat tees and five target greens. The deck off the bar looks right over the 5th tee and the 18th hole.
