The 8th at Oak Tree aims you at a covered bridge. It's a downhill par 4 that turns right to left, and a lake cuts across the hole, so you may want less than driver off the tee. Then it takes a precise iron into a thin green.
Ed Ault drew the original design for the club, which first opened in 1967. Four lakes come into play on seven holes, and the greens are big and undulating. The course sits along the Ohio and Pennsylvania border just off I-80, and it belongs to the Penn-Ohio Golf Trail.
The finish runs downhill as well. On the 18th, a straight drive has to stay clear of a pair of fairway bunkers, and then you're hitting over a lake with a fountain to a large green. Club 19 Bar & Grill looks right out over it.
