Briarwood's scorecard carries a railroad crossing warning: stop, look and listen before you cross the tracks. Charles H. and Robert Klingensmith laid it out in 1956 in the hills of South Central Pennsylvania, and Bill Love came back in 2011 to redo the tee complexes and bunkers.
Love already knew the place. In 1992 he designed the Final Five here, a 5 hole course with bunkered, rolling bent grass greens. For 10 years, Futures Lady Professional Golf Tour events came through Briarwood.
It's public, with weeknight leagues and a lighted range, and the Briarpatch Sports Lounge has TVs and a snack bar.
Find the deals near you, plus GPS and a scorecard at 40,000+ courses.
