The Cardinal sits south of Richmond at Fort Lee, with trees lining the fairways, and you can walk it. The practice area has a full range, two big putting and chipping greens and a bunker, and there's the Cardinal's Nest Cafe.
There are 27 holes, played as pairs of nines. Red and White are the originals, built in 1947. Blue opened in 2002, and Ault, Clark and Associates designed it. Normally you'd play Red then White, White then Blue, or Blue then Red.
