Robert E. Lee's army camped on this ground through the winter that followed the 1862 Battle of Fredericksburg. The club leans into it. The tees are called Cannon, Rifle, Saber and Pistol.
Bill Love designed the course through Virginia forest and natural wetlands. Lee's Hill opened in 1993 and runs a Tuesday night twilight league. Water comes straight into play on six holes. No. 14 is a par 3 that carries a wetland to a green with two tiers.
Then No. 15 fools people. From the tee you'd swear it turns left, but it's a dogleg right, so favor the left half of the fairway with your drive.
