Before Village Green, this land was an orange grove. The course went in during the 1960s. It's an 18-hole, par-58 executive course, and water and sand come into play.
The family that owns it keeps PGA Professionals on staff. One of them, Doug Mochrie, caddied and coached on tour for years for Dottie Pepper, an LPGA major champion.
Back at the clubhouse there's a bar, lunch every day and a banquet room that looks out on the course.
For kids, there's PGA Junior League, Youth on Course, and a Pin Seeker program where kids prove they can shoot par from 25 yards, then work their way back to 100 yards.
