Golfers with limited mobility can take out an accessible cart at Henson Creek. It runs on hand controls, and the seat raises, lowers and swivels so you can get set up at the ball. Beginners use it on the range, and more experienced players take it on the course.
Henson Creek opened in Fort Washington in 1963. The Prince George's County parks department describes the nine hole course as beginner friendly. It's a par 33, on Bermuda fairways with bent grass greens.
Kids can join First Tee or PGA Jr. League programs, and there are men's and senior leagues too.
