The Lakes is an 18-hole course, one of two at Queenstown Harbor, on the Chester River on Maryland's Eastern Shore, a short hop off Route 301. Architect Joel Weiman led a bunker renovation in 2024. It's public, and it's kept up all year.
The land goes way back: a 1600s land grant known as "My Lord's Gift," then farmland, with an archaeological dig at the old home site while the course was built. Today 198 acres are under conservation.
