The 30-acre lake that gives Lake Presidential its name frames the finish. The par 72 layout winds through thick woods and open natural ground in Upper Marlboro, with roomy landing areas, white sand bunkers and streams. No. 8, a 570-yard par 5, needs a straight drive through the trees, then a shot into a narrow green with bunkers and the lake around it. The lake returns at the par 3 ninth and at No. 18, a 515-yard par 5 built on risk and reward. The men's handicap row gives the 1 to No. 15, a 420-yard par 4 from the Blacks. The Maryland Women's Amateur Championship came here in 2011. Practice on the driving range, chipping area and putting green, or in 3 heated indoor bays. The Perch has a full bar facing the lake. PGA Professionals own and run the club.
