Part of The Lakes runs over the old Michaywe ski hill. Six holes wind through that retired slope, four wrap around Lake Michaywe, and others play links style. The Loon Golf Resort in Gaylord has three courses: The Lakes, The Loon and The Ridge.
The 5th is a downhill par 5, and the course's note for it is simple: enjoy the view and hit away.
The 18th is a par 5 that tells you to let it rip off the tee, then asks if you're going for the green with your second. There's plenty of room to the right if you'd rather lay up.
