Two creeks wind through Chippewa, the Ayers and the Crane, and you'll have one of them to think about on 15 holes out of 18. Add small greens, trees along the fairways and well-placed bunkers, and you've got a traditional course that's been open since 1926.
The design is the work of Harold Weber, who won the Ohio Amateur four times. The club's name goes back to Victoria Cadaract, a Chippewa woman whose log cabin once stood on the property.
It's about 10 minutes east of downtown Toledo. There's a range with a practice putting and chipping area, and a patio with a view of the course.
