The North Fork of Beaver Creek runs by the first tee at East Palestine Country Club, and the course borders the North Country Trail. It was built in 1919 and first opened in 1921, out among the farms and hills of Negley, Ohio. The community owns the course, which plays to par 36 and is open to the public.
Evening leagues take public players as well, including a Friday couples league. The Jerry McGee Memorial junior league, coached by volunteers, is for kids ages 8 to 14. Beginners rotate through stations, and more experienced players play nine holes each week.
