Eagle Creek began as an early 1990s plan to turn Norwalk's Elks Club into an 18-hole course, and Brian Huntley's design was built in 1995. Water comes into play on 11 holes and bunkers protect almost every green. The public course plays to par 71 and 6,603 yards with four sets of tees, and it's home to high school golf teams from Norwalk and St. Paul.
On No. 4 you clear a creek twice, with water behind the green. No. 12, a par 3, has a wetland along its right side and six bunkers around a lima bean green. On the par 5 18th, a small stream splits the approach: lay up or go for it.
The range has three turf areas plus mats, seven target greens and a fairway bunker, with two practice greens. There are golf simulators, and Cameo serves pizza, wings and craft beer.
