At Meaford Golf Course, the club says a fox may well chase your ball. Deer, muskrat and beaver turn up on the course too, and three natural creeks wind through the whole thing.
Golf has been played here since 1934, just off Georgian Bay, and it's laid out as two separate nines, Randle and Millennium. Each nine finishes at the clubhouse, so you can play four, nine or 18 holes, depending on how much time you have. There are weekly leagues for senior men, ladies and juniors.
Don't expect it to beat you with length. The hills, trees and ponds do the work instead, so expect to use most of your bag.
Find the deals near you, plus GPS and a scorecard at 40,000+ courses.
Same pass, more courses close by.
