Twelve holes is the whole idea at Scottish Highlands Golf Orillia. The club figures many golfers find 18 too much and 9 not quite enough, so on Monck Road it built a twelve hole course, and a round takes between 2.5 and 3.5 hours.
The mix is five par 5s, four par 4s and three par 3s, with 4 sets of tees and 4,407 yards from the Blues. No. 8 is a par 4 of 410 yards from the Blues to a green that sits high above the fairway. A large pond guards the front right of the green on No. 11, and the card also carries the Lucky Duck, a closest to the pin hole of 102 yards from the Blues.
